چکیده

The aim of this work is to study the process transformation debris-free mountain glaciers into debris-covered and rock glaciers, examine factors driving diverging evolution in similar glacial systems. area Hofsdalur valley, Tröllaskagi peninsula (northern Iceland), where several cirques host a great diversity as well various landforms. Four adjacent have been analysed through multidisciplinary approach: geomorphological analysis, boulder surface displacement tracking, quantification recent glacier changes, three dimensional palaeoglacier reconstruction, equilibrium-line altitude calculations relative direct dating methods applied boulders. Dating included situ 36Cl cosmic-ray exposure dating, Schmidt hammer weathering measurements lichenometric dating. results confirm that followed an pattern observed other peninsula. During Younger Dryas (12.9–11.7 ka) many those hosted whose retreat started early Holocene. Distinct dynamics cirque floor elevation conditioned subsequent evolution. In some cirques, ice completely covered headwalls, which consequently did not supply debris onto surface, remained debris-free. most these however, enhanced paraglacial processes ice-free walls generated high surface. As result, evolved towards or depending on local topographical setting. lower they collapsed immediately after their formation. At higher altitudes, above permafrost limit, ice-cored landforms survived until present day, but stagnant since Holocene Thermal Maximum, while heads during Late

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Global climate evolution during the last deglaciation.

Deciphering the evolution of global climate from the end of the Last Glacial Maximum approximately 19 ka to the early Holocene 11 ka presents an outstanding opportunity for understanding the transient response of Earth's climate system to external and internal forcings. During this interval of global warming, the decay of ice sheets caused global mean sea level to rise by approximately 80 m; te...

Morphometric Properties of Glacial Cirques in Zagros Mountain, IRAN

The morphometry of 187 cirques like forms is performed in the selected regions of Zagros Mountain with the use of GIS. The cirques like forms were delimitated manually and their headwall and floor boundaries were modified based on the classified slope map. The power law functions were fitted to 187 longitudinal cross-sections of the cirque like forms and their parameters were analyzed. All the ...
